This compact version doesn't have a slider that erases or resets the board, instead you are supposed to rub the top of the pen on it. BUT IT DOESN"T EVER TOTALLY REFRESH IT. It's all gray and smudged looking. Plus, I'm a grown up, there's no way my toddler is going to be able to do it. TERRIBLE! I wanted the compact size for an airplane trip, but I guess I have to upgrade.
