The toy is attractive and appeals immediately to children ages 19 months -21 months. However, it should be described as a Thomas the Train flashlight as that is about the extent of its use. The few voice messages it provides are too loud and there is no volume control; the wheels do not turn so a child cannot roll it around on the floor. But for use as a flashlight in a dark room - great.
