These are the least expensive babies I could find. They appear quite durable. Years ago, the body would be tied to an indention around the neck. These babies have a plastic 'spine' that extends into the body. I believe this will keep the head from coming off. These babies are meant to be played with, not collected.They do not come with accessories. My imagination places them with a toddler who wags them all around, intermittently loving and dragging them. Older children who want to play house and walk through the motions of caring for a baby probably needs more accessories.
I am very pleased with the purchase.
