Fisher-Price Little Superstar Sing-Along Stage Review

"Oh boy, this is SO bright, I think I'm going to love it! Wait a minute, what the heck is THIS?" (Nana's answer: it's a microphone.) "What the heck is a microphone? Hmmm, it doesn't taste good, it doesn't make noise, it's not jiggly, oh well, I'll just throw it at the wall and see if it breaks." (It didn't, but it never got looked at again. So much for the toy microphone.) "Now let's bang on the front things." (The keys.) Wow! they're great! They make music and light up lights. What fun!!!"
After jumping around to the music, and helping Mommy sing to the tunes (the lyrics are on included cards,) and watching the lights light up as he banged away on the instrument, he toddled away. We left the wonderful new toy on the floor for the rest of the afternoon. He came back to it a couple of times and then it was forgotten. I think he'll play with it occasionally, but not a heck of a lot because little tots of this age group are very, very active. A big ball is one of his favorite things, and it cost $1.99.
However, this toy is sturdy, fairly easy to put together, but not easy for baby to take apart (a definite plus,) colorful and musical. The only problem I can see is the short attention span of most little tots. On the other hand,if you need an impressive gift for a first birthday, this would be a great one.
