Looks can be deceiving... I should've heed my mother's advice. I bought this toy for my two-year-old son who loves Thomas (who doesn't). The toy arrived with full of dust and grime (no fault of the manufacturer). After cleaning, I gave it to my son who easily figured out all the places where he can activates the sounds (only the top and wheel do, actually). It is a nice looking toy but with limited number of sounds and no other movement or gizmo. Needless to say, I am disappointed although my son doesn't mind so much (he's only two). Overall, it is a nice toy. Just don't expect so much.
