Thomas the Train: TrackMaster Dash the Logging Loco Review

Note: I'm posting the same review to Bash the train (we did purchase both) as they are essentially the same just different names, different accessories they pull and I believe Dash has freckles.
My son loves Thomas the Train and has the Trackmaster sets that he plays with constantly. He has most of the trains that are currently available for the tracks.
After watching the movie, Misty Island Rescue, our son was mesmerized by the storyline. So we decided that since Christmas was right around the corner he could have Bash, Dash and the Shake Shake Bridge track set (he already has The Zip Zoom and Logging Adventure track set).
These trains are GREAT, in comparison to other Trackmaster trains. The Bash and Dash trains felt just right. The weight wasn't heavy or lopsided. The plastic is smooth and seemingly better quality. The trains felt sturdy and confident as they went on the tracks and most impressive was the noise on these trains are so much LOWER and smooth-sounding compared to other Trackmaster trains. If you know about most Trackmaster trains they usually are loud with the gears running when they're turned on. Those trains would sound like a wind up toy back in a day after winding up and releasing the wind up knob. Bash and Dash still has that sound but much much more muted. It makes me sometimes think it's almost like a "green engine" for being so much quieter!
Overall, a great purchase with a happy kid that loves his trains!

Thomas the Train: TrackMaster Dash the Logging Loco Overview

Dash is a brand new motorized TrackMaster engine. He and his twin Bash are the "Logging Locos" that live on Misty Island and help Thomas find his way home. Dash is pulling two special cargo cars of Jobi wood logs from Misty Island. Push him along or flip the switch to watch him chug along by himself. Motorized train track play is compatible with all TrackMaster sets (sold separately).
