The Geotrax system comes with a railway station complete with manual lift, 1 infrared remote (the manual should have indicated so), 1 motorized car with 2 carriages and an extra car (with 1 carriage) and figure. Also included is a 2 series DVD cartoon (works on both DVD players and Windows PC). Assembly needs adult due to great force needed to snap the pieces together. The pieces and carriages looks durable and well-built. The infrared remote is good for toddlers to learn how to push forward and backward controls. Kids will find the moving train complete with sounds fun. It will be great if there is better music and more flashy lights that comes with the sounds. The remote and motorized train needs 3 AAA batteries each, a total of 6! No batteries is supplied and they drain out fast. I would have to use rechargeable ones to save the Earth. Not many complementary add-ons available compared to Thomas and Friends series.
