Thomas the Train: TrackMaster Ferdinand the Logging Loco Review

I wanted an engine from Misty Island. When I saw Ferdinand I looked at the picture on Amazon, he looked like he was a good engine that didn't have electrical chords connecting the tender to the engine. This means the electrical chord will not snap between the tender and the engine, like in the old tender engines, for example James, Gordon and Henry. I liked it how he came with a trailer car because I already have Zip Zoom and Logging Adventure, that included a logging car which came with Thomas. The two train cars matched really well with each other. I liked it how you could swap Ferdinand's carriage and tender around, and he still works.
The battery is inserted in the neck of the engine, it requires one AA battery. You have to undo a screw which is found at the bottom of the engine just near the two wheels at the front of the engine, in the little gap. (There are two arrows joined by a curved line - in the gap) You need one cross head screw driver to open the battery compartment. There you will find that the neck of the engine comes off completely to insert the battery (in the neck) and to put it back together you have to push down on the funnel and screw the screw until it's quite tight.
Ferdinand does not have coupling rods. He is a fast engine. Overall, I love Ferdinand.
