Imaginext® Adventures Elephant Review

This elephant must be made out of little boy catnip. My 3-year-old nephew is a big fan of all Imaginext toys, but he particularly adores this mean-looking elephant. It makes an incredibly grating roaring noise that delights him. If you've resigned yourself to the ambient noise of a child's play (or if you're buying it for someone else's kid), go for it! It seems very durable, though he hasn't had it long enough for me to attest to its longevity.
When it arrived, the box would (rather comically) roar when moved a certain way, so obviously the toy was turned on and unsecured. I wonder if it used up much battery roaring away in transit?

Imagine......you're journeying through the jungle, on foot. After days of traveling, you're wondering how you'll ever make it all the way to town -- especially with all of your heavy equipment. You need those supplies to survive. Exhausted, you stop for a nap. You're woken sometime later by a playful nudge. An enormous elephant towers over you, poking you with his trunk! He's friendly and he wants to come along on your adventure. He'll even carry your things. Requires 3 "AAA" batteries, not included. Measures approximately 4".
