This toy is great fun, when it works. The first one I bought was broken; it wouldn't spin at all (I've been told that this is a common problem). My son loves the one we have now. It requires "C" battteries, which are not included. I don't think I've bought that size battery for anything else in a long time! My son loves to watch the car spin in circles in the middle. The toy has a typical Fisher price off, good volume, and extremely loud volume control. If it is still too loud, (as it was for us) put tape over the speaker vents to keep the volume lower).
