Screwy Looey Review

I'd have to agree with the other reviewers who have said Screwy Looey is awfully frustrating for small children. My 5 year old and 2 year old have both played with this and do not understand why the drill keeps "messing up" before they can finish putting in/taking out the screw. The buttons and switches do not seem to reset the drill or make it work "normally". My kids both end up very frustrated so this toy has not been played with much in our house. Very disappointing.

Screwy Looey Overview

Screwy Looey is a little electronic drill with blue safety goggles, an orange hardhat, and a goofy sense of humor. He comes with a set of plastic bolts and a carrying case, which folds out into a drilling area. Molded to look like a clubhouse with wooden slats, the bright red playing area has drill holes that the bolts fit into smoothly. The screwy thing about Looey is that he's got two moods, "Screwy" and "Looey." Looey is a real go-getter; he loves to drill and is a hard worker. Screwy, however, is just plain silly. He'll drill in forward and reverse, fast or slow, he'll yawn and hiccup, or ramble on while he works. You just never know what he'll do! Fortunately, your child will be in control of Looey's moods via the mood switch on the back of his goggles. Another switch controls drilling in forward or reverse, and a third switch can reset Looey if things get too screwy. Children ages 3 and older can practice their motor skills, or play a more complex game of tic-tac-toe. This would be a cheery addition to any little workbench. Requires three AAA batteries (not included).
